Emmerdale viewers are preparing for a storyline twist that could rock the Dales.

Newcomer John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) recently made his bombshell arrival – and it didn’t take him long to ruffle some feathers.

The mysterious newbie has already found himself embroiled in a feud with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), the latter who John slept with.

Fans will recall that in John’s debut scenes he encountered Aaron – before the pair slept together in his van. 

The newcomer then drove off with Aaron’s wallet and keys still inside the vehicle – leaving Aaron livid.

Aaron was even more fuming when he found out John’s identity, and that he was the half-brother of his ex-husband Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).

However, one villager that has been left delighted at John’s arrival is Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins), happy at the fact she has a brother, and is keen to build a relationship with him.

Being incredibly welcoming, she even offered John a roof over his head while his van, which he lived in, was getting repaired at the garage.

However, John has insisted he wants nothing to do with her, or the rest of the Sugdens.

But in what would be a huge twist, fans reckon Victoria is starting to fall for her half-brother John and predict a romance is on the cards.

On X, one person said: “John and Frau Vic incest story incoming?” as someone else replied: “I hope not,” followed by the sick face emojis. A third also mused: “We getting an incest storyline not had one of those in a soap for a while, unless Eastenders had one.”

Emmerdale is no stranger to airing an incestuous relationship – and that includes the Dingles.

Mandy Dingle married her own cousin Butch back in the 90s, while Cain Dingle also had a romance with his cousin Charity Dingle. The pair had a child together, Debbie Dingle.
