Emmerdale fans are predicting a shocking incest storyline to shake up the Dales. 

John Sugden, played by Oliver Farnworth, has already caused quite a stir since his explosive arrival.

The enigmatic newcomer quickly found himself in conflict with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), the latter of whom he had a brief fling with. 

In his debut scenes, John and Aaron ended up sleeping together in his van, before John drove off with Aaron’s wallet and keys still inside, leaving Aaron furious.

Aaron’s anger only intensified when he discovered that John was the half-brother of his ex-husband Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley). 

However, Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) has been thrilled by John’s arrival, excited at the prospect of having a brother and eager to form a bond with him.

Despite her warm welcome and offer of a place to stay while his van is being repaired, John has made it clear he wants nothing to do with her or the rest of the Sugdens. But in a potential dramatic twist, viewers believe Victoria may be developing feelings for her half-brother John, sparking speculation of an upcoming romance.

On X, one viewer speculated: “John and Frau Vic incest story incoming? ” which prompted another to respond: “I hope not,” accompanied by sick face emojis. Another chimed in with: “We getting an incest storyline not had one of those in a soap for a while, unless Eastenders had one,” reports the Express.

In past storylines, Mandy Dingle tied the knot with her cousin Butch during the 90s, and Cain Dingle was romantically involved with his cousin Charity Dingle, with whom he shares a daughter, Debbie Dingle.
