Cunliffe has been targeting Leanne Battersby with his “self-improvement group” The Institute for months. Rowan’s influence has been pulling Leanne away from her partner Nick Tilsley and even her sister Toyah Habeeb when she needs support the most. With both Nick and Toyah feeling betrayed by Leanne, they’ve found themselves embroiled in a covert affair with Rowan after he blackmailed them.

In upcoming episodes next week, Toyah, who was recently diagnosed with germ-cell ovarian cancer, is gearing up for her surgery while Rowan convinces Leanne that she’s making the right choice by keeping her distance during Toyah’s operation and putting herself first.

Nick is appalled by Leanne’s actions and stays devotedly by Toyah’s side. At the same time, Rowan’s newest member Amy Barlow excitedly informs Leanne about her plans to put her inheritance into the new resource centre, but she’ll need Ken Barlow’s approval.

Later on, Nick urgently contacts Leanne to inform her that Toyah has encountered complications and urges her to rush to the hospital, reports the Mirror. Will Leanne show up for her sister, and what’s the status of Toyah’s health?

Later in the week, Rowan informs Leanne about Amy’s decision. However, he becomes worried when Leanne says she doesn’t have time to discuss it as she’s off to see Toyah.

Leanne meets up with her sister in the hospital in the meantime. Subsequently, Nick tells Toyah that he loves her and that he will inform Leanne.

Following his admission, Rowan calls Nick and threatens to divulge his affair with Toyah unless he receives a £20,000 investment for The Institute. How is Nick going to respond? Leanne’s son Simon Barlow invites her to see him in Rotterdam later in the week.

But when Rowan informs her that The Institute wants to advance her to level eight quickly, she finds herself in a challenging situation. She’s not sure what to do, even though Nick is pushing her to visit Simon. Will she find out what really happened to Nick and Toyah?
