Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) has seemingly made quite a big decision about his future in Coronation Street.

As we know, Nick has been having an affair with Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor), the sister of his actual partner Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson). 

The fling started as a result of Leanne prioritising The Institute over her family, and Nick feeling somewhat lonely.

Nick has also been drawn towards Toyah because of how brainwashed Leanne has become due to the cult. 

With Leanne far too focused on the corrupt organisation and how positive vibes is apparently the answer to everything, Nick has watched the person he fell in love with slowly disappear.

In tonight’s episode, Leanne was in charge at the Bistro while Nick was at hospital supporting Toyah, who was having her operation after an ovarian cancer diagnosis.

While Leanne was working, she was also using her shift as the perfect place to keep an eye on Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney). The young woman was taking part in a meeting to discuss investing money from Deirdre Barlow into the cult.

As Leanne watched Amy, she received a worrying phone call with information from Nick.

Nick had been at the hospital the entire morning to support Toyah as well as wait for her operation to finish. We learnt from a consultant that Toyah had experienced a bleed, but was now recovering.

Relieved, Nick and Leanne arrived in the ward room and sat by Toyah’s bed as she slept.

As Leanne spoke, it then became apparent the fear she felt surrounding Toyah and her operation had impacted her a great deal. For Nick, the comments from his partner just left him even more confused.

Returning to the Platt household to collect Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), Nick opened up to David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) about his predicament.

Nick said that the Leanne who was sat with Toyah was the same person he fell in love with years ago. On the other hand though, he also expressed a great deal of admiration and respect for Toyah.

Making a decision, Nick told David that he knows who he wants to be with and tomorrow, he will get it sorted.
