Emmerdale viewers are convinced Caleb Milligan (William Ash) is planning to set up a second ‘Home Farm’.
And will con Jimmy King (Nick Miles) out of his own business as part of his revenge against Kim Tate (Claire King). Last week, Jimmy sent Rodney (Patrick Mower) on a haulage job.
But when he returned, Jimmy revealed the goods from the truck had gone missing.
But unknown to Jimmy, Caleb had stolen the boxes and soon revealed to his wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly) that he needed some lorries for his new business.
Jimmy’s business is co-owned by Kate and her partner Will (Dean Andrews) so Caleb isn’t holding back from scheming off them.
On Friday (August 9), Jimmy’s problems got worse when a vehicle inspector paid him a visit and explained it was a spontaneous check, which left him feeling anxious.
The man wanted to check the tachographs, a device that’s fitted onto lorries to record speed, distance, driving time, and to ensure the driver takes the right amount of rest.
The inspector said that after checking the books, Jimmy had gone over the allotted driving time. Somewhat taken aback, Jimmy was fearful when the inspector delivered a fine and revealed he had 28 days to pay it.
Jimmy also revealed he had lost a big contract which played a huge part of the companies income.
Back at home, Jimmy updated Nicola and admitted he hadn’t been entirely honest with recording his own jobs when, as he had been doing extra shifts on the sly to earn a cash and also distract himself from Angel’s (Rebecca Bakes) absence.
Disappointed, Nicola was left wondering how on earth they were going to pay the huge bill. But the visit was all a scam.
He then got quite cocky and tried to tell Caleb he needs to pay £1k instead. Annoyed at the inspector’s greediness, Caleb refused to pay him any money and walked away.
Emmerdale viewers have been left feeling sorry for Jimmy as his business struggles at the hands of Caleb, who is trying to squeeze him for all of his stock so he can build his own business to rival Kim.
Taking to X, one viewer wrote: “Prob after the haulage firm… at a steal of a price”, while another added: “Poor Jimmy it was set up by Caleb #Emmerdale.”
