Coronation Street fans are convinced they’ve rumbled Alina Pop’s future on the hit ITV soap.
On Wednesday night, Fiz Stape was left stunned when she bumped into husband Tyrone Dobbs’ ex Alina in Fresco’s car park. Soap fans will recall that Alina, played by Ruxandra Porojnicu, was last seen on the cobbles back in 2021, where she fled the cobbles to Romania and hinted at a secret pregnancy with Tyrone’s baby.
Upon Fiz seeing her husband’s ex, Alina explained that she had been called as a witness in a trial but Fiz clocked Alina’s screensaver was her holding a little boy, leaving Fiz seriously unsettled as Alina claimed it was her nephew. Later, Fiz gently broke the news to Tyrone that he could potentially have a son. However, when Tyrone raced to Alina’s hotel to confront her, he found that she had already checked out…
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to predict Alina’s future on the cobbles in a heartbreaking twist. One person said: “So in what way will they kill off Alina so Fiz and Tyrone have to bring up the baby? #Corrie”, a different account put: “I just have a feeling she might end up in a car accident”, another penned: “So thats Alina probably dead by xmas and Tyrone and fizz raising the kiddo #Corrie” while another added: “Now that Alina is back with a kid, she’s got a 90% chance of being dead by the end of the year. #corrie.”

Alina left Weatherfield in 2021 after discovering that Tyrone had lied to her and even kissed his then ex Fiz. After discovering that she was pregnant, Tyrone quickly rushed after Alina where he was able to talk to her before she departed the cobbles in a taxi.
Alina told Tyrone that he will have nothing to do with her baby, she said: “This baby will have nothing to do with you. So get that into your thick skull and quickly!” However, after chasing after Alina, she told a crushed Tyrone that she wasn’t actually pregnant as she left to go home to Romania.
The character said: “It can’t happen because there is no baby. There never was. I’ve got my dates wrong, I thought I was pregnant but I wasn’t. So there’s no reason for you to be here, no reason at all…” However, at the end of the episode, it appeared that Alina had been lying as she tenderly cradled her stomach and refused an alcoholic beverage, hinting she was in fact pregnant.
