A shock Coronation Street affair could be on the cards for Dee-Dee Bailey and a cobbles resident.
Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) made her debut back in 2022 – and she’s quickly become a firm favourite.
However, over on the soap at the moment, she has no idea her fiancé Joel Deering (Calum Lill) is living a complete double life.
Despite rocking up to the cobbles as a nice guy last year, Sicko solicitor Joel has shown his true colours in recent months.
Recently, it was revealed he was behind the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
Joel wormed his way into Lauren’s life after helping her out with bills, eventually coercing her into a sexual relationship.
He then left he for dead after bashing her head in, following a heated argument where Lauren mentioned Dee-Dee’s name.
However, after going missing for several months, Lauren returned to Weatherfield – revealing to Joel she was pregnant with his child. Since then, Joel has tried to secure her silence by giving her a place to stay at his old flat.
He has also promised to pay for her to go to Ireland to start a new life. However, in a sickening twist, Joel ended up giving Lauren drugs to induce a premature labour – leading to the birth of their baby boy last week.
Luckily, Lauren and their baby survived, however, Dee-Dee is oblivious to Joel’s true nature. In recent scenes though, she noticed he has become distracted as of late.
However, fans now reckon Dee-Dee could be set to start a shock affair with pal Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson).
Over on a Corrie Facebook fan page, one fan shared their delight at Adam’s return to the soap last week. They wrote: “Adam is back. yay… hope he gets a good storyline.”
And in the comments section, people predicted a romance could be on the cards for Dee-Dee and Adam. One person said: “Adam will end up with Dee Dee.”
Someone else mused: “Brilliant, him and Dee Dee had a bit of a flirt if I remember rightly so he’ll be there for her when she finds out about Joel.”
A third replied: “What if they had an affair? Joel would flip!” Another wrote: “I could see this happening,” as a fifth penned: “I don’t think she would ever do that, but I wouldn’t care, please just leave him!”
