Corrie spoilers alert: Fans believe Stu’s departure will be tied to him k*lling Mason after uncovering the truth about his granddaughter’s hit-and-run accident

Coronation Street’s resident troublemaker, Mason Radcliffe, played by Luca Toolan, could be facing a grim fate.

The character, who first appeared on the cobbles last year, has been causing havoc ever since, particularly for Maria Connor’s (Samia Longchambon) young son.

Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall). The plot took a dark turn when Mason threatened Liam with a knife, leading to a distressing storyline where Liam contemplated suicide.

In April, Mason was sent to a Young Offenders centre for his actions, with Dylan courageously testifying against him in court.

However, last month saw Mason return to the street after being released.

His reappearance has caused unease, especially for Liam and Dylan. Meanwhile, Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) has shown sympathy towards Mason.

Even securing him a job at his restaurant.

News of Mason’s employment at Speed Daal has sparked outrage among residents, but Stu remains convinced that Mason is attempting to reform, reports the Liverpool Echo.

However, fans are speculating that Mason’s days may be numbered, with a shocking twist potentially seeing him killed off. Furthermore, viewers believe it will be Stu who delivers the fatal blow.

Fans have taken to social media to discuss how Stu remains oblivious to the fact that it was Mason who was responsible for his granddaughter Eliza’s hit-and-run earlier this year. Viewers now speculate that the discovery could trigger Stu into “killing Mason in a fit of rage.”

Furthermore, viewers suggest that Mason’s demise could be linked to the departure of Bill Fellows, who plays Stu. This week, rumours circulated that Bill has decided to leave the soap after a three-year stint. Reports indicate that he has already filmed his final scenes for the popular ITV show.

Now, fans are convinced that Stu’s exit will involve him murdering Mason, upon discovering the truth about his granddaughter’s hit and run incident.

On a Corrie Facebook fan page, one viewer speculated: “Stu set to leave the cobbles later this year. Talk about giving his granddaughter Eliza’s bedroom to Mason. He doesn’t, however, know it was ‘mad Mason’ who knocked down Eliza in the hit and run. Could murder be on the cards for Stu and a second prison sentence? This one not a wrongful one.”

Meanwhile, on X, another fan suggested: “Imagine if Stu finds out that Mason knocked over Eliza and ends up in prison for actually killing somebody.” A third concurred, writing: “Hope he finds out it was Mason who hit Eliza with the car, kills him in a rage, then flees to Germany.”
