Coronation Street could see a new potential love triangle next week.
Soap fans will recall that Daisy Midgeley and Ryan Connor have had a tumultuous on-off romance.
Initially, Daisy was engaged to Daniel Osbourne but after a harrowing acid attack at the hands of her stalker,
Justin Rutherford, Ryan stepped in to protect her and as a result has been left with life-changing scars.
The harrowing ordeal led to Daisy and Ryan getting closer with the two embarking in an affair last year while Daisy was still engaged to Daniel.
Eventually, Daniel discovered their affair with his relationship over with a heartbroken Daisy, who had picked Daniel over Ryan, left single and alone.
In a further blow, Ryan then left the cobbles for Glasgow with girlfriend Crystal while Daniel got into a relationship with ex Bethany Platt.
Earlier this year, Ryan returned to the cobbles and after a tumultuous journey, Ryan and Daisy finally decided to make a go of things. However, their romance was tested once again when Ryan learnt the truth about Daisy and Jenny Connor’s illegal purchase of the Rovers. In scenes next week, a new love triangle has been teased as a newcomer takes interest in Daisy. Only recently, the cobbles has welcomed Kit Green, who is the long-lost son of Bernie Winter. Next week, Kit moves into Glenda’s old room at the Rovers but it appears he could have an ulterior motive as spoilers see him realise it’s gossip central and will serve him nicely.
Later in the week, as he moves into the Rovers, he decides to flirt with Daisy – will she reciprocate his feelings? Meanwhile, an oblivious Ryan is impressed with Kit’s vinyl selection and suggests going out for a drink. Could there be a new love triangle with Daisy, Ryan and Kit?
It comes as Bernie learnt the hard way that she had been set up by her long-lost son Kit weeks on from them reuniting after decades apart. Kit can’t forgive his biological mum for abandoning him and not making contact when he was younger.
In spoilers for Kit next week, Paul Foreman, who has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND), is upset when Kit fails to join them for a family dinner. Later, Paul plays Kit a message imploring him to forgive Bernie for the sake of the family. Kit stubbornly refuses but when Paul suddenly finds himself struggling for breath, Kit is thrown into panic…
