Emmerdale fans have ‘uncovered’ the hidden agenda of Ella Forster, and it spells trouble for Liam Cavanagh.
The character, portrayed by Paula Lane, made her first appearance earlier this year,
but it was evident she was concealing a significant secret which was eventually disclosed in true soap opera style.
At the age of 11, Ella committed a crime that resulted in the death of her best friend, leading to her imprisonment.
After her release, Ella, formerly known as Ruth, has been constantly on the move across the country.
She arrived in the Dales in January with hopes of finally settling down, particularly after starting a romantic relationship with GP Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
However, upon discovering her past as a child killer, Liam ended their relationship, unable to cope with it, especially following the murder of his own daughter Leanna (Mimi Slinger).
Consequently, Ella left the village in June, only to make a dramatic return recently after being involved in a car accident. Encouraged by her friend Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), Ella decided to return to the village, much to Liam’s dismay.
In another shocking turn of events, Ella revealed to Mandy that she is expecting Liam’s baby. However, Ella received devastating news last week when it was revealed that she wasn’t actually pregnant, reports the Manchester Evening News.
In heart-wrenching scenes, Ella was informed she had an anembryonic pregnancy, also known as a blighted ovum or a silent miscarriage. However, after initially disbelieving Ella’s pregnancy claims, Liam discovered the striking truth and offered an ardent apology. The duo even shared a kiss following the intense recent developments.
But Liam’s hopes were dashed when he misinterpreted Ella’s intentions, believing she wished to rekindle their romance, only for her to rebuff him. Yet now, Emmerdale viewers are suspecting that Ella might be cunningly ‘playing’ Liam, with a devious scheme up her sleeve.
“Anyone else think Ella is playing a game with Liam,” speculated a fan on an Emmerdale Facebook fan page, prompting another to respond: “Ella is up to something I don’t trust her and don’t like her at all.”
Another observer joined in, remarking: “Seems to have an agenda, and comes across as rather sly! She’ll cause trouble I reckon! Maybe get in between Liam and Chas?”
Speculation grew further with another comment: “I think she’s out for revenge after he ended things last time,” while another voiced a stark warning: “She’s a sly one…Liam needs to run and fast.”
