Coronation Street has revealed the aftermath of Lauren Bolton’s shock collapse.
The character recently returned to Weatherfield after going missing, and is currently living in attacker Joel Deering’s flat while also carrying his baby.
However, scenes airing later this week will see Lauren suffer a collapse after experiencing stomach pains, worrying she may be heading into early labour.
Following on from this, scenes set to air next Monday (August 5) and Friday (August 9) will see Lauren in hospital, where she has given birth to Joel’s baby prematurely.

Opening up about Lauren’s collapse scenes recently, actor Cait Fitton explained: “Lauren is terrified. She has no idea what’s happening. She’s never been through this before like any soon-to-be parent.
“It is terrifying for her, especially because she’s on her own when this happens, and it’s so early. This is not the way it’s meant to be.”
Speaking about Joel, she added: “Lauren is stuck between a rock and a hard place. She hasn’t got the financial stability to move to Ireland herself, so the only way she will get her wish is if she keeps herself quiet about what Joel did.”
