The action is set to ramp up on Coronation Street next week.
After intercepting the fake t-shirts, Beth hands them over to Sid in the alleyway. However, as he gives her the money, Craig and Kit show up wanting an explanation. With Sid’s job proposal no longer available, Beth turns to Carla, asking if she can come back to work at the factory.
In another part of town, Stu catches Mason and Betsy pilfering food. Upon learning that Mason is homeless, Stu offers him a place to stay at No. 6, but Mason rejects his offer of help.
Stu then proposes a job to Mason as a pot washer, a move that doesn’t go down well with others. When Mason tells Betsy he’s ready for any trouble, she warns Dylan not to cross paths with Mason, reminding him that working in a restaurant means access to very sharp knives.
Dylan’s fear of Mason is clear, prompting Sean to step in. He storms into Speed Dahl to confront Yasmeen and Stu. Betsy later confesses to Mason that she told Dylan about his knife. Irritated, Mason insists he can handle his own conflicts.
Meanwhile, Lauren is filled with fear as her prematurely born son lies in an incubator. Swain shows up at the hospital with the intention of questioning Lauren. Betsy reminds Joel of the time he abandoned her in a rough neighbourhood, insisting he owes her. Joel is left fuming.
Later, Joel is seen scrolling through Betsy’s social media while an unsuspecting Dee-Dee suggests they should start planning their honeymoon. However, when Betsy threatens to reveal his secret of picking up young girls unless he gives her £100, Joel loses his cool and drags her into the alleyway.
In another storyline, Fiz is taken aback when she unexpectedly runs into Alina in Fresco’s car park, who reveals that she has been summoned as a witness in a court case. Will she inform Tyrone about his ex’s return?
Meanwhile, at the cab office, Cassie is surprised when she sees the name of a customer on an airport booking. She takes Steve’s cab and assists Alina into the vehicle before driving her directly to Coronation Street to meet Tyrone. Alina is livid when she realises she’s been tricked.
In a surprising turn of events, Hope breaks up with Sam and suddenly shows more interest in Jack, much to Fiz’s astonishment. Hope later visits Dr Gadass expressing her desire to go on the pill. The doctor hands her condoms and advises her to discuss it with her family.
In another part of the soap, Leanne fails to offer any comforting words to Toyah before her appointment, leaving Nick to accompany her instead.
Rowan informs Leanne that she has been chosen by Willow to manage the new resource centre and arranges a meeting with a potential investor. Rowan introduces Leanne to Grant and leaves her to present her sales pitch.
