Bad, lady mob boss to John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington). She did this so that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) could be set free from the FBI’s clutches.

Right after, Carly told Cates he was no longer welcome at her hotel. She did this in front of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy).
And several guests, and she double-dared Cates to arrest her for RICO violations.
An irate and perhaps somewhat embarrassed John Cates obliged her wishes and arrested her.
We all knew Carly would never accept Jason leaving town for Quantico to continue working for the FBI and that she had her fingers crossed behind her back (figuratively speaking) when she promised Jason, “I won’t turn myself into Agent Cates.”
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) saw her mom get arrested and raced to find Jason, who was about to leave Port Charles. Meanwhile, Sonny found out that Jason only agreed to be an FBI informant to protect Carly from going to prison.
While Sonny and Jason will be scrambling to get her out of jail, someone else may be on her side, willing to come to her rescue.
Since Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) came to town, he’s been smitten with the former Mrs. Corinthos. He’s made it no secret that he enjoys every minute in Carly’s presence, and there are hints that he may be a significant player in this storyline.
Shortly after Brennan arrived, we learned that he was the head of Pikeman and the WSB. After several visits with Carly at Bobbie’s, Brennan made an impression on her.
They were attracted to one another and even engaged in a little harmless flirting. However, at the time, Carly was in a relationship with Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison).
Their times together at Bobbie’s ended when Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) told Carly that Brennan was a dangerous man with secrets to hide.
Once Brennan figured out that Carly knew he wasn’t just some “businessman” passing through Port Charles, it appeared that Brennan had Carly cornered.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) showed up, promptly arrested him, and took him to prison.
Leave it to Carly to fall for the “bad boy.” Recently, when she visited Brennan in Pentonville, she shared her predicament with him. He knows she’s in trouble with the law.
Recently, Anna discovered that Jack was no longer at Pentonville. All records of his stay at the prison, and his police files were removed.
That’s when Anna figured that Brennan must be connected to the FBI. He may be in a higher position than Cates. Perhaps he could use his power to destroy the evidence the FBI has against Carly.
Brennan’s good deed might even make Carly swoon. Could this sway her to accept a date with the handsome, charming Aussie? Carly deserves a new romance, and Brennan seems like the perfect “partner in crime.”
