In a soap quiz last year, the actress did mention that she’d be open to the idea of returning. The final straw was Kim’s affair with David Glover, who Kathy was seeing. They never reunited after that. Seeing them together again would give fans nostalgia for confrontational scenes from old times. Talking about rivalry, Eric Pollard had a massive vendetta against her.

However, other characters from her time, like Frank, Chris, Zoe, and Rachel, are all gone. Joe Tate’s presence would have made a difference, but he’s not around either. Additionally, rumours regarding a return after 20 years have been circulating on forums like Digital Spy.

Unfortunately, it turned out to be Chrissie Watts from EastEnders, not Kathy, which disappointed many Dales fans. So, while the possibility of the legend’s return remains uncertain, fans’ hope and excitement continue to grow.
