With EastEnders having confirmed a child to parent abuse storyline, Tommy Moon’s sinister behaviour worsens next week, with Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) struggling with his destructive behaviour.
When she is left fearful as he gets rough with the twins, Alfie (Shane Richie) offers his support.
But manipulative Tommy is soon using the situation to his advantage.
Speaking of manipulators, Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) continues to scheme, drawing in a face from his past in the process.
But Priya (Sophie Khan Levy) has had her fill of him and takes action. Finding himself a hostage, Nish is hit with Priya’s demands.
Meanwhile, Callum Highway (Tony Clay) is struggling being estranged from jailed husband Ben – and the joy of a night out is soon dampened by harsh words that leave him questioning himself…
Monday July 29
Nish enjoys being the centre of attention with Ravi and Vinny. But when Vinny tries to get involved with a business deal, Nish side-lines him.
Frustrated, Vinny vents to Suki, who advises him to be bold to gain Nish’s respect.
At Walford East, Vinny gate-crashes the meeting and works hard to charm their potential client to impress his dad but things go wrong when Priya disrupts the meeting by launching into a character a.s.s.a.s.s.i.n.a.t.i.o.n of Nish.
However, Vinny realises what he needs to do to win Nish’s trust.
Kat is at her wits’ end with Tommy’s bad behaviour, so Alfie suggests she takes a holiday and he’ll look after the kids.
But Kat insists she needs to be there to handle Tommy and it looks like she’s right when he is rough with the twins, and she’s forced to step in.
Later, Kat confides in Alfie about her fears for Tommy as he resolves to help her.
Honey and Billy arrange a 40th birthday party for Martin. Meanwhile, Kathy, Ian and Lexi go to visit Ben in America, leaving Callum saddened that he isn’t joining them as he can’t get time off work but Johnny resolves to cheer him up.
Tuesday July 30
Vinny packs Priya’s things and throws her out. Suki questions Vinny’s methods, but he insists this will win Nish around.
Priya is desperate for a lifeline but even Avani turns her back on her mum. Vinny tells impressed Nish what he’s done, while Priya throws herself on Martin’s mercy.
Alfie takes a hard line with Tommy as a different tactic. Tommy agrees to behave after Alfie tells him that he’s trying to convince Kat to take a holiday.
When Kat arrives home Tommy plays nice, and Alfie is pleased to have made progress.
Chelsea isn’t happy working for Penny, who is lording it over her at Peggy’s. Meanwhile, Johnny tries to get Callum out to let off some steam, but Callum insists he’s not in the mood.
Wednesday July 31
Priya is desperate to accompany Nugget to the hospital for his next dialysis session but is blocked by Ravi. Instead, she teams up with Denzel to sneak in to be with him, which sparks a big row when Ravi and Nish catch them.
Later, desperate Priya lures Nish to the Minute Mart before handcuffing him and demanding that he films a video retracting his lie about them sleeping together.
Callum is upset when he misses a call from Ben, so Honey insists that he joins her for a drink later. During a heart-to-heart, Honey advises him that life is for living and encourages him to have a night out with Johnny.
Elsewhere, Alfie decides to host a mini-Olympics in the Square, but has to convince Tommy to participate by offering a cash prize to the winner.
Thursday August 1
Nish asks Avani to help him track down a woman online, saying she’s an old friend of Suki’s.
Callum is gearing up for a fun night out with Johnny when Billy makes a comment that it hasn’t taken him long to move on. Callum is horrified.
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Bernie are shocked when a ‘For Sale’ sign goes up at No.1 and they discover Gray is selling up.
