Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) dealt with the very difficult aftermath of Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) punching her in the stomach in EastEnders, unaware he has reported her to the police.
Yesterday (July 23), Tommy drove Kat round the bend when he skived from his summer job to visit Phil (Steve McFadden).
While Kat was searching for her son, Tommy was spinning a story to Phil about how much his mum missed their relationship.
When Kat eventually arrived at the Mitchells, she quickly worked out Tommy lied to Phil just so he could blag himself some new trainers.
Back at the flat, Kat confronted her son and said she was tired of his horrible behaviour. Tommy tried to tell Kat that he went to see Phil because he misses him being his stepdad, but Kat refused to listen.
As Kat told Tommy that Phil would only pay him attention to try and get back with her, the young lad saw red, ran towards his mum and punched her in the stomach.
Unfortunately, Kat’s initial reaction was to shove Tommy to the floor. Afterwards, she apologised, but Tommy said she would regret it.
In tonight’s episode, things were awkward. Kat tried her best to remain cheerful ahead of her holiday with Alfie (Shane Richie), the twins and Mo (Laila Morse), but understandably her mind was on Tommy.
At the Slaters, Kat confronted Tommy and wanted to move on. She apologised, but wondered why he wasn’t doing the same.
When Alfie and the twins entered, an overwhelmed Kat announced their holiday was being cancelled.
As Alfie and Mo played music outside, Tommy snuck back into the Slaters and made a phone call to the police.
The teenager revealed his name, age, and that his mum has been h.i.t.t.i.n.g h.i.m.
Poor Kat will now face questioning due to Tommy’s phone call – but what will happen if the police and social services believe him over Kat?
