The dark side of Emmerdale legend Kim Tate has reemerged this week after a shocking revelation about Rose Jackson. Rose’s ongoing scheme to bring down Kim took a sinister turn on Thursday, July 18th, when she attempted to drug Will Taylor. Rose met with a dealer and slipped a drug into Will’s drink, but her plan went awry when Kim and Dawn joined them in the kitchen for a drink, leaving Rose unable to determine who had been spiked.
Initially, Rose believed it was Will who had been drugged as he began feeling unwell. However, the situation took a drastic turn when Dawn ended up in the hospital following a car crash. At the hospital, Dawn suggested she had been drugged at Home Farm, and back at home, she confronted her family, accusing Kim of being responsible. Seizing the opportunity, Rose further isolated Kim by making her appear guilty.
In the July 19th episode, Rose continued her efforts to ostracize Kim at Home Farm. An intense argument between Rose, Kim, and the Taylors was interrupted when the dealer Rose had met burst into the house and accused Kim of purchasing drugs. This scene, orchestrated by Rose, made it look like Kim was involved in the drug plot, driving a deeper wedge between Kim and her family.
As Dawn prepared to leave Home Farm, concerned about the safety of her son Evan, Billy pointed out that moving wouldn’t be safe for Evan. Overhearing this, Kim agreed to protect Evan by moving out herself. She relocated to the B&B, where she confided in Lydia about Rose, revealing that she suspected Rose but was waiting for the right moment to act.
That evening, as Kim took a phone call, Rose met with her dealer in the village, thanking him for his performance at Home Farm. Smirking as the dealer drove away, Rose was caught off guard when she turned around to find Kim had witnessed the entire exchange. Kim had been biding her time, and seeing Rose with the dealer was the moment she had been waiting for. With a murderous look in her eyes, Kim’s vow of revenge was now set in motion.
