Emmerdale’s Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) made a chilling discovery during Tuesday’s episode of the ITV soap.

Leaving her fearing Belle Dingle has been killed by her husband Tom.

Charity was been suspicious about Tom King’s (James Chase) controlling behaviour towards his wife Belle for some time but her fears boiled over.

When she discovered the couple had left the village.

In the Woolpack, Charity overheard Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) talking about his surprise that Tom was already thinking of leaving the Emmerdale vet practice.

She felt there was something not right about the whole situation, with Tom and Belle having been seen driving away previously.

Even though they were due to go to Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb)’s for dinner.

Lydia (Karen Blick) advised Charity that Belle and Tom had a right to privacy and didn’t have to tell the family about their every move, but Charity knew that Belle’s was acting out of character.

Tonight, Charity bumped into Belle’s support worker who informed her that she hadn’t seen her client after Belle missed her last appointment. Belle has also turned off her mobile phone.

This sparked panic as Charity roped in Cain to help break into Belle’s home and found the address of the vet’s where Tom is planning to start a new job.

They managed to discover her location and arrived at the couple’s cottage in Wales. When they get there, they’re confronted by a scene of total horror.

The place had been turn upside down with furniture thrown across the dark room and smashed glass everywhere. Charity and Cain ran into the room and noticed Belle’s jumper.

Turning around, Charity then looked over Cain’s shoulder and pointed out a blood stain on a white door.

“Where is she?”, Charity asked Cain, who replied: “Whatever he has done, he is a dead man.”
