Coronation Street is lining up explosive scenes this week as Dee-Dee Bailey discovers Lauren Bolton’s baby news.
Viewers will recall that Lauren made a shock comeback last week as Cait Fitton reprised her role. Weeks on from a brutal attack by Joel, which Weatherfield residents still don’t know about, Lauren, who was believed to be dead, was revealed to be alive as she headed to the hospital to visit Roy Cropper after he suffered a heart attack weeks on from him being wrongly imprisoned for Lauren’s ‘m.u.r.d.e.r’.
And things only got more explosive when Joel confronted Lauren at the hospital, forcing her into a family room and pleading with her not to reveal what happened. As violent and evil Joel went to lash out again, Lauren protected her stomach revealing she was five months pregnant with his baby in a huge bombshell before fleeing the hospital.
And now spoilers for later this week tease even more drama for the corrupt solicitor as his fiancée Dee-Dee discovers Lauren’s whereabouts and baby news. In the next episode of Corrie, as the race to find Lauren intensifies, Dee-Dee and Bethany Platt track the missing teen down to a squat.

It’s not long until they discover that a terrified Lauren is pregnant and Dee-Dee insists on taking her to the hospital to be checked out, believing she’ll be safe there. However, it’s not long until Joel finds out about Lauren at the hospital thanks to his oblivious partner Dee-Dee. In true soap style, DS Swain, who has been in charge of Lauren’s case, also comes searching for answers about the man behind Lauren’s attack but who will get there first?
Meanwhile, with Lauren facing pressure from everyone around her, who will she confide in? As Joel continues to force her to stay quiet with threats and empty promises, will Lauren go along with the evil solicitor or will she tell DS Swain the truth?
It comes as Coronation Street’s Joel star, Calum Lill, has warned that the ‘worst is yet to come’ with his villainous character. Appearing on Thursday’s This Morning, Joel star Calum revealed what is next for his character. During the interview, soap expert, Sharon Marshall, was on hand to point out that Lauren being pregnant is evidence against Joel.
To which the actor warned: “It is, it’s evidence the stakes have only got higher and I think one thing we’ve seen with Joel is he’s very selfish, driven and seems to lack empathy so I think the worst is yet to come from Joel, he’s only going to get worse.” Asked about more victims and whether Joel’s fiancée Dee-Dee is in trouble, actor Calum teased: “Who knows? I think it could even get worse than you think!”
