Next week on Coronation Street, Kit Green fears his career could be jeopardized as his corrupt actions come under scrutiny.

Kit, a police detective, worries that his junior colleague, Craig Tinker, may become a significant problem for him after he broke the rules to protect his half-sister, Gemma Winter-Brown.
Last month, Kit’s mother, Bernie, pleaded with him for help when Gemma was arrested for stealing shoes for her daughter, Caris.
Out of desperation, Kit intervened by intimidating the shop owner into dropping the charges against Gemma. However, Craig witnessed Kit’s off-the-record visit and later discovered the family connection between Kit and Gemma.
In a bid to safeguard himself, Kit decides to quiz Kirk Sutherland, hoping Kirk might reveal incriminating information about Craig.
Unfortunately for Kit, Kirk insists that Craig is an honest person, leaving Kit uneasy and more anxious about his future. The possibility that Craig could expose him looms large, and Kit contemplates more drastic measures to silence his colleague.

Recent episodes have delved into Kit’s darker side. While he tries to build relationships with his half-siblings, Gemma and Paul, he harbors a deep resentment toward his mother, Bernie.
Kit has been actively working to create a rift between Bernie and her children as revenge for abandoning him twice—once at birth and again when he sought her out at 20, only for her to stand him up.
Jacob Roberts, who portrays Kit, shared insights into his character’s motivations. “He is still very angry and doesn’t want anything to do with Bernie. He feels abandoned and has unresolved issues.
Kit takes a perverse pleasure in being around where Bernie is and bonding with his siblings. However, it remains to be seen how long he can maintain this before realizing that forgiveness might be the only way forward.”
