Emmerdale’s Rebecca Bakes has shared details on Angelica King’s highly-anticipated comeback to the ITV soap.
The talented young actress is set to return as Angelica later this year, as Emmerdale circles back to the heart-wrenching Heath Hope death plot which took place in the New Year.
In a shocking twist earlier in March, Angelica received an eight-month sentence at a Secure Children’s Home after admitting her part in Heath’s tragic end.
It was revealed that Angelica was behind the wheel during the fatal joyride on New Year’s Eve that claimed Heath’s life.
However, she initially dodged the blame, allowing Heath’s twin sister Cathy to take the fall.
This poignant narrative led to Sebastian Dowling bowing out of the show, having portrayed Heath from infancy.
Chatting with Digital Spy at the Radio Times Soap Awards on Saturday night (July 13), Rebecca teased when viewers might catch a glimpse of Angelica once again.
She revealed: “It should be at the end of September, so in a few months maybe! I don’t really know because we haven’t started filming anything yet.”
Looking back at the explosive New Year storyline, Rebecca added: “Before we even started filming it, we were told that the driver would be me and they kept us updated. It was really exciting because I’d never previously done anything as big.”

The actress also admitted to missing actor Sebastian as they filmed with each other as young children.
Recent on-screen references to Angelica have suggested that she’s been struggling at the Secure Children’s Home. Initially, she was bullied by other kids, but a later episode hinted that Angelica was beginning to stir up trouble.
In a recent heart-to-heart with his nephew Tom, Angelica’s father Jimmy expressed his sadness that she’s “not my little Angel anymore.”
