Though Toyah Battersby is a lady on a mission, she discovers a clue while going through Rowan’s
pockets in an attempt to expose him and his “Institute.”
Next week on Coronation Street, Toyah Battersby will make a significant discovery as she works to bring
down cult leader Rowan.
Those who watch the ITV soap opera regularly will be aware that Toyah has spent weeks trying to uncover Rowan and his “self-improvement” institute since he seduced her sister Leanne Battersby. Leanne’s life seems to have been overtaken by optimism, even if Toyah tries to express her worries about The Institute.
Unaware that Rowan would use the information against her, Leanne even confides in him her darkest secrets.
Toyah, meantime, has been having difficulty. Following her disclosure to Nick Tilsley regarding the stillbirth of her newborn girl Rose, the two developed a love connection and shared a bed.
Upon witnessing their kiss, Rowan used coercion to get Toyah to sign an NDA promising to remain silent about the institute. Toyah, though, is still investigating The Institute in spite of this.
In upcoming scenes, Nick drives Toyah to her most recent hospital appointment while Leanne intensifies her push for Amy Barlow to join the cult.
Later in the week, Toyah makes fruitless attempts to find more information about Rowan on the internet.
Rowan threatens to reveal the details of his affair with Toyah if Nick doesn’t invest in the new resource center, applying pressure on him to do so.
Toyah searches through Rowan’s jacket pockets and discovers his driver’s license during this time.
She makes a revelation after flipping the online version of him. Is that, however, enough to ruin him?
Georgia Taylor, an actress, has made fun of her role. Toyah will find the proof she needs by learning about Rowan’s past. But as she goes after him and the group, the character can end up in peril.
